Project Overview
This project covered a full hot-water pressure wash of a John Deere wheel loader ahead of inspection and export prep. Working indoors under cover, the crew cleared caked soil and organic debris section by section — tires and wheel wells first, then the front quick-attach linkage, body panels, and undercarriage — until the machine was clean enough to move to the next stage of prep.
Project Snapshot
- Cleaning method
- Hot-water pressure wash, full exterior and undercarriage
- Handling objective
- Clear soil and organic debris to inspection-ready condition
- Next stage
- Dry-down and inspection ahead of loading
- Output
- Clean machine ready for the next prep stage
What Was Done
- Positioned the loader indoors and reviewed the areas carrying the heaviest soil before starting — wheel wells, the front linkage, and the underside.
- Pressure-washed the tires and wheel wells first, where caked mud and debris were heaviest.
- Worked the front quick-attach linkage and pivot points in close, clearing packed soil from every mount point.
- Rinsed the cab, hood, and body panels, then moved to the rear axle and undercarriage.
- Checked the machine and the surrounding floor for any remaining soil before signing off on the wash.
